NUS Students' Arts and Social Sciences' Club's Welfare cell is organizing their annual project - Food Hunt. This project was pioneered last year by the club and is the first of its kind to be held by NUS students. This year's Food Hunt promises to be exciting and bound to satisfy your taste buds!!!

Participants will travel round the island tasting delicious local delights, with clues and puzzles along the way for them to guess the food and stall they are suppose to eat from. Char Kway Teow, Nasi Goreng, Roti Prata... A culinary rojak experience for food enthusiasts. You name it YOU have it!!!

Details

Date: 19th March 2005 (Saturday)

Venue: Singapore – Island Wide (Transport costs will be reimbursed)

Time: 9am to 6pm

Registration fee: $8 per participant (4 hungry participants per team)

Game play

1. All participants will report outside NUS Students’ Arts and Social Sciences Club room for briefing and preparation. A councillor will be assigned to each team.

2. You are required to complete a task before setting off… be prepared to get a little wet =p

3. There will be 1 route in the entire game, with at least 6 destinations, excluding NUS which is the starting and the finishing point.

4. Each team will need to go to a fixed destination to find a particular type of food at a designated place. You will have to derive the location you are suppose to arrive, the name of the stall to buy from and the type of food to be consumed from the clue given.

5. For example, a map of a certain area with crosses indicating the “eating points” in the vicinity. Up to 4 marked “eating points” will be given to search for the right stall. To identify the stall, a picture showing a part of the stall will be given so that you will be able to recognize the stall when you see it.

6. At the 4th station, you will be given a pleasant surprise that just might determine your victory =)

7. Each team is given 2 chances to call a person for help during the game. The calls must be made before the team leaves for the next destination.

8. Councillors will only issue the next clue after the correct food stall has been found and the correct food has been consumed.

9. Winners are decided by the order in which they come back.
